Derek K. Hubbard is Manager of External Communications and a Spokesperson for Southwest Airlines. In his role, Derek manages a Team responsible for the Company’s organic social media content, as well as branded partnerships and entertainment. He also serves as an advisory board member for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). Previously, Derek worked as a television producer in Dallas and also in financial communications in London. Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communications & Public Affairs from Southern Methodist University (SMU), and also studied at Regent’s University London. Derek was recognized in 2017 by PR News as a 30 and Under Rising PR Star. He also has written for and/or been quoted in Entrepreneur, Inc.com, The Washington Post, and various publications. Derek also contributed on FOX Radio on the effectiveness of Super Bowl commercials. Through his work with the Willis M.
